Problem Statement
Maintenance Decision Support System (MDSS) technology is a tool initially developed using Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) funding. It is designed to integrate state-of-the-art weather forecasting and pavement modeling with an agency’s rules of practice for winter operations to generate recommended maintenance actions. The goal is to enhance winter maintenance decision making in order to provide more effective responses to winter weather events.Maintenance Decision Support System (MDSS) technology is a tool initially developed using Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) funding.
